Final doctor's appointment for a while today. I have "early PCOS," "early endometriosis," and an unspecified hormonal imbalance (not thyroid).

I also have painkillers I can take without puking, and birth control pills.

Four periods a year, baby. Yeah.

yay! (well not about all the junk you have.. but that they have it almost figured out!) so was PCOS again? you told me,... but i think i forgot.

PCOS is Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome, which means, obviously, many ovarian cysts. The ultrasounds I had showed a lot of small cysts, none of which were large enough to be causing any serious damage. They still have to watch them, because they're likely to grow in the future, which would then be an issue.

Endometriosis is when cells from the lining of your uterus take root in other places in your pelvis and start growing. Same thing as above: not much to be seen right now, but if nothing gets better even while taking the BC pills, they want to do a laparoscopy (surgery) to check it, because endo is hard to see on an ultrasound.

So, according to them, I'm likely to have a lot of future issues, but there's nothing that can really be done at the moment.

FOUR PERIODS A YEAR! I'm excited.

damn you, you get to have only four periods a year. shit. i need me some BC pills. seriously, cuz every time i have one i feel like my insides are falling out. i get front and back cramps from my belly button to the inside of my thighs for three or four days in my period. and my flow is so heavy that i have to use overnight pads to even think about going out in public.
YOU SUCK! friggin' lucky...
